FOD Compliance

Foreign Object Damage / Debris (FOD) Prevention

Suppliers must ensure that all parts are free of Foreign Objects and potential Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prior to shipment. A FOD-free environment must be maintained throughout all stages, including:

• Machining

• Manufacturing

• Assembly

• Maintenance

• Inspection

• Storage

• Packaging

• Shipping

Suppliers are also responsible for cascading these FOD prevention requirements to their sub-tier suppliers to guarantee FOD-free products throughout the supply chain.
